Spring & Summer 2027 Finance Analyst Co-op

Peraton is seeking a Spring & Summer 2027 Finance Analyst Co-op to support the Country of San Diego Contract from January 2027 through August 2027.

As a Finance Analyst Co-op students will support the financial operations behind the County contract including procurement billing status reporting and tracking cloud spend. Youll help identify cost-saving opportunities as the Countys cloud footprint grows.

Peraton is the County of San Diegos IT and telecommunications partner supporting the technology that County departments rely on to serve more than 3 million residents from public health and social services to public safety and libraries. As a intern/co-op on the CoSD program youll work alongside Peraton professionals on real projects that modernize County services including emerging work applying AI to how software is designed built and delivered.

Co-op structure: 40 hours/week throughout the duration of the co-op with a hybrid work arrangement based in San Diego CA.

Required Qualifications

• US Citizenship
• HS Diploma and some advanced level training.
• You are a current undergrad or graduate student and have completed progress or pursuing a degree in Finance Accounting Economics Business Analytics or related field
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables lookups basic formulas)
• Strong attention to detail with financial data

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with FinOps concepts or cloud cost tools (e.g. AWS Cost Explorer)
• Experience with ServiceNow or procurement workflows
• Dashboarding experience (Power BI Tableau)
• FinOps Certified Practitioner or AWS Cloud Practitioner (or interest in pursuing)
