Spring 2027 Mechanical Engineering Co-Op - Project Execution
West Chester OH
Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM
As a project mechanical engineering intern / co-op with Trew you will gain experience with many aspects of the project execution process. This will include building layouts system design technical drawings and revisions to equipment lists.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Setting up drawing packages for the project engineering team.
- Generating detail views of the material handling equipment to be provided by Trew.
- Updating drawing packages based on provided redline details.
- Plotting drawings to be shipped to project sites to support installation.
- Working directly with lead engineers.
- Updating process / procedure documentation as outlined by the project team.
Required Skills / Abilities
- Strong people skills with the ability to work effectively with other organizations and individuals at all levels.
- The ability to learn quickly and a desire to broaden your skills and experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail especially as it pertains to drawing accuracy.
- Drafting experience of some kind preferred.
Education & Experience
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical preferred).
Work Environment
This is primarily a desk-based role requiring extended periods of sitting and computer use. While the role is mainly desk-based mobility within the office manufacturing facility and customer sites may be required for meetings and interactions with colleagues.
Physical Requirements
- Required to stand walk and sit; talk and hear both in person and by telephone; use hands and fingers reach with hands and arms for the use of tools to assemble heavy equipment.
- Regularly required to stoop kneel bend crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Travel less than 10%.
