Job Summary
Spring 2027 Mechanical Engineering Co-Op - Development / Innovation
West Chester OH
Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM
As a product development mechanical engineering intern/Co-op with Trew you will gain experience with many aspects of the design process including product design product evaluation technical drawing and revisions and bill of material creation and maintenance.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Designing components and sub-systems that form parts of complex systems.
- Analyzing data to determine if design meets function and performance specifications.
- Creating and maintaining items and BOM structure.
- Producing high quality 3D modelling drawings.
- Working directly with lead engineers.
- Producing design and cost estimation.
Required Skills / Abilities
- Strong people skills with the ability to work effectively with other organizations and individuals at all levels.
- The ability to learn quickly and a desire to broaden your skills and experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education & Experience
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical preferred).
Work Environment
This is primarily a desk-based role requiring extended periods of sitting and computer use. While the role is mainly desk-based mobility within the office manufacturing facility and customer sites may be required for meetings and interactions with colleagues.
Physical Requirements
- Required to stand walk and sit; talk and hear both in person and by telephone; use hands and fingers reach with hands and arms for the use of tools to assemble heavy equipment.
- Regularly required to stoop kneel bend crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Travel less than 10%.
