Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Splunk Admin to lead enterprise data ingestion operations across Splunk and Cribl platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Splunk administration data onboarding parsing routing indexing forwarding and Cribl ingestion workflows.
This role will serve as a primary technical point of contact for ingestion-related issues pipeline execution monitoring troubleshooting governance and operational support. The candidate will also mentor engineers develop automation and help establish enterprise telemetry and logging standards.
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Splunk Administration
5 years of hands-on experience with Splunk administration and data ingestion.
Strong experience with Splunk Enterprise and/or Splunk Cloud.
Experience supporting enterprise-scale logging monitoring and observability platforms.
Strong understanding of Splunk architecture and production operations.
Splunk Data Ingestion
Hands-on experience with:
Data onboarding
Parsing
Routing
Indexing
Forwarding
Experience troubleshooting ingestion issues and data flow problems.
Ability to support large-scale ingestion requirements across multiple teams.
Cribl
Hands-on experience with Cribl Stream administration.
Experience with Cribl ingestion workflows and pipeline execution.
Ability to monitor troubleshoot and support Cribl pipelines.
Experience Eligible to workimizing ingestion workflows and telemetry pipelines.
SPL & Scripting
Strong proficiency with Splunk Processing Language (SPL).
Strong RegEx skills for data parsing and extraction.
Experience with one or more scripting languages:
Python
Bash
PowerShell
Ability to develop automation for ingestion monitoring and operational activities.
Infrastructure & Cloud
Knowledge of networking fundamentals and data flow.
Experience working with Linux and Windows environments.
