Job Title:Speech Scientist
Location: Washington D.C(Hybrid or remote work model subject to customer direction)
Project Duration: 10 12 months.

Role Summary
Speech Scientists will support speech recognition optimization natural language understanding (NLU) grammar development and conversational tuning activities.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and optimize speech recognition grammars and NLU models

Analyze utterance data and improve recognition accuracy
-
Support conversational AI tuning and optimization
-
Collaborate with VUI designers and developers on customer interaction flows
-
Support bilingual conversational experiences where applicable
-
Participate in testing and production stabilization activities
Required Skills & Experience
-
Experience with speech recognition and NLU technologies
-
Familiarity with conversational AI and IVR ecosystems
-
Experience with grammar tuning and utterance analysis
-
Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
-
Experience supporting enterprise contact center environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Nuance speech technologies
