DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
- The speech/language pathologist is responsible for providing speech therapy services to clients of the agency. The primary function is the provision of direct patient care including collaboration with other team members and participation in the development of the patients comprehensive plan of care.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
- Experience:
  - A minimum of two years preferred.
- Education and Training:
  - A graduate of an accredited Masters or Doctoral program in speech/language pathology.
  - Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is required. Clinical Fellow candidates are accepted.
- License Certification & Registration:
  - MASPEECH - MA Speech and Language Pathologist License.
  - A clinical fellow must submit Form 1 to MA Board no later than 7 days from starting fellowship and submit proof to the employer.
  - If a clinical fellow must complete fellowship successfully and acquire MA license within a year.
  - Driver - Drivers License
- Other Requirements:
  - Knowledge of and familiarity with rehabilitation equipment including but not limited to language/communication aids devices and wheelchairs.
