Speech Language Pathologist Assessment Focused Part Time Flexible Schedule

Mind by Design is a community-based clinic in Campbell and Morgan Hill specializing in assessment and intervention for children teens young adults and families. We provide psycho-educational evaluations and Independent Educational Evaluations along with speech and language assessment and therapy behavior intervention services specialized academic support mental health therapy and parent coaching. We are a multi-disciplinary team supporting families across the greater South Bay Area and beyond.

POSITION OVERVIEWLove assessment but tired of the bureaucracy paperwork and high caseload that come with a school job Want a flexible hybrid schedule you can work during the day and be around for your family when the school and work day are through If you answered yes this role is for looking for a part-time SLP who wants to focus mainly on assessment and Independent Educational Evaluations. Youll do the work youre good at: testing observing interpreting the data and making clear professional recommendations for IEP teams to consider. We are seeking an SLP who feels confident in their assessment skills and their ability to use data to drive recommendations for both clinical diagnostics and special education eligibility as well as evidence-based interventions and RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct comprehensive speech and language IEEs from intake through report completion and IEP meeting Personally administer score and interpret standardized and informal assessments Complete school observations as part of the evaluation process Write clear well-supported reports with practical recommendations for IEP teams Hold feedback sessions with families to review results and recommendations Present findings at IEP meetings Collaborate with our LEPs on multidisciplinary IEEs and with the other SLPs on our team Participate in due process cases and testimony when needed (rare but possible)OPTIONAL OPPORTUNITIESIf youd like to grow your role theres room to add private pay assessments and speech and language therapy. These are not required at this AND AVAILABILITYThis is a flexible part-time position. Youll come to our Campbell or Morgan Hill office for testing and travel to schools for observations and IEP meetings. The rest of your schedule (scoring report writing planning) is ask for a minimum of 2 cases per month which is about 30 hours or roughly 10 hours per week.
