Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech language cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs goals and evidence-based practices
- Provide direct therapy services and interventions in accordance with established plans of care
- Educate patients families and caregivers on treatment strategies and home programs
- Maintain accurate timely and compliant documentation (evaluations daily notes progress reports discharge summaries)
- Collaborate with physicians physical therapists occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory payer and accreditation requirements
- Participate in case conferences team meetings and quality improvement initiatives
Common Treatment Areas
- Articulation and phonological disorders
- Expressive and receptive language disorders
- Cognitive-communication deficits (e.g. memory attention problem-solving)
- Voice and resonance disorders
- Fluency disorders (e.g. stuttering)
- Dysphagia (swallowing disorders)
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred (or Clinical Fellowship candidate considered)

Work Environment
- Outpatient clinic / rehabilitation setting
- May involve standing walking and assisting patients with mobility or positioning
