Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech & Language Pathologist to join our team at Brandon Elementary on a part-time basis (0.8 FTE). The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing diagnosing and treating students with speech and language disorders fostering effective communication skills to enhance their academic and social success. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers parents and other professionals to support students communication goals.
- Monitor and document students progress adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate staff and parents on strategies to support speech and language development.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of speech and language pathology.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations.
Requirements
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with children preferably in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of speech and language development disorders and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and professionals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
