Our Organization is seeking a passionate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to support an Illinois school district throughout the academic year. This on-site part-time position offers a flexible 23 day per week schedule making it an excellent opportunity for an educator dedicated to helping students achieve their communication and academic goals.

In this role youll deliver individualized instruction designed to meet the unique needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing while collaborating with teachers specialists and families to ensure comprehensive educational support. Your guidance will help students strengthen communication skills build independence and reach meaningful milestones in an inclusive learning environment.

What to Expect:
  • Part-time in-person assignment for the full school year.
  • Collaborate with school staff related service providers and families.
  • Deliver specialized instruction and support individualized learning plans.
  • Promote student growth through accessible engaging and inclusive educational practices.

Requirements
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Deaf Education or a related field.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication collaboration and instructional planning skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team.
  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) endorsement.
