Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a third shift Environmental Test Engineer to assist in running the operation of the Clifton Environmental Test facility. Candidate will be responsible for the completion of production Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) and Qualification testing (Temperature Vibration Altitude Humidity) of all products produced in the Electronic Warfare sector. Test operations are conducted 24/7. Strong hands-on skills are required along with a good understanding of electronic circuits. Previous experience is a major plus in addition to overall instrumentation experience. We may consider engineers for other shifts as well.

Essential Functions:

• Perform Environmental Testing- Temperature Vibration Altitude and Humidity of all products.
• Set up equipment run and monitor environmental test.
• Report and communicate information related to tests.
• Participate in department activities such as Shop Meetings processing of paperwork communication and tracking of issue resolution.
• Participate in failure Root Cause Analysis.
• Train other personnel in similar roles.
• Communicate with department team members regarding status and next actions.
• Perform instrumentation of Qualification units interacting with several stakeholders such as Managers Engineers Technicians and Customers.
• Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Deep understanding of and ability to follow production schedules and traveler sequences appropriately.
• Ability to work independently upon completion of onboarding and training.
• Laboratory hands-on experience a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in California Massachusetts New Jersey Washington and the Greater Denver or NYC areas is$88500 - $ is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
