The Cybersecurity Specialist supports the organizations cybersecurity strategy by assisting with risk assessments and security control evaluations across key business units. This role focuses on analyzing business practices identifying control gaps and helping implement security initiatives in partnership with technical teams and leadership.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete SSR triage process on the security requests in the Assurance ISO UDX queue by reviewing responses and attachments.
Perform analysis of information included in the SSR request. Ask questions and follow up with the requestor for additional information.
Collaborate with the other Cyber teams (SAE and SSR teams) and the business for questions regarding intel on the vendor project and approvals.
Manage the UDX ISO queue to ensure the requests are triaged in a timely manner.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in information technology Computer Science Cybersecurity or a related field
EXPERIENCE:
2 years of experience in Information Technology
2 years work experience in Information Technology with 1 year in Cyber Security
2 years in customer facing technical engagement roles including service and solution delivery
Excellent documentation and communication skills;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
