Job Summary
Adelphi is seeking Special Education Teachers to provide in-person services to elementary school students at a school setting in Fauquier County Virginia.
The ideal candidates will support students with disabilities who participate primarily in general education curriculum and setting and will collaborate closely with general
education teachers special education staff administrators and other members of the IEP team to provide individualized instructionmodificationsand support in accordance with student IEPsestablished guidelines and school procedures.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
Current or eligible Virginia teaching license with an appropriate Special Education General Curriculum K-12 endorsement or other credential acceptable to the Virginia Department of Education.
Strong classroom management communication documentation and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
Provide special education support to elementary students accessing the general education curriculum.
Support students with disabilities primarily within the general education classroom setting.
Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on students identified needs.
Work with students in the special education classroom as needed to address specific IEP goals.
Implement students IEP goals accommodations modifications and instructional supports.
Collaborate with general education teachers to support students participation and progress in the general curriculum.
Adapt instructional strategies and materials to meet individual student learning needs.
Monitor and document student progress toward established IEP goals.
Participate in IEP-related meetings and collaborate with school staff and other members of the student support team.
Any other duties as assigned.
