Responsibilities vary by placement but may include:

• Provide individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
• Develop implement and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with student goals and educational needs
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions
• Collaborate with general education teachers related service providers administrators and families
• Monitor and document student progress using data-driven practices
• Support students academic behavioral social and functional development
• Ensure compliance with federal state and district special education regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development activities
• Foster inclusive supportive learning environments that promote student success

• Bachelors Degree in Special Education or related field (required)
• Valid Vermont Special Education teaching certification or eligibility
• Experience in special education settings preferred but not required
• Strong communication organization and collaboration skills
