Job Summary
Qualifications/Description:
- Consistent and punctual attendance
- Ability to be flexible with varying student needs and schedule changes
- Provide support to students within general education and resource room locations
- Experience working with students with autism and/or emotional impairment is preferred
- Ability to monitor and manage student behavior
- Ability to follow implement and document all aspects of Positive Behavior Support Plan
- Ability to provide sensory integration as needed
- Ability to work with children in a caring nurturing manner
- Effective communication skills with a variety of staff and students
- Demonstrates flexibility teamwork and organization
- Hard working and team player
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Demonstrated physical ability to lift and transfer students
- Technology literate
- Ability and willingness to perform recess monitoring bus loading/unloading and lunchroom supervision as necessary
- Perform all other duties assigned by the classroom teachers Principal and/or Director of Student Services
- CPI and/or Ukeru trained preferred
- One of the following preferred:
- 60 credit hours of college credit
- Associates degree
- College Boards SAT score of at least a 480 on evidence-based reading and writing and a 530 on math
- ETS Parapro Assessment with a passing score of 460
