Job Summary
Outlook Academy is a Strict Discipline Academy serving students in grades 6-12 who may be suspended expelled court-ordered or placed through the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process. The Special Education Teacher provides a safe structured relationship-based learning environment and delivers specialized instruction and case-management services that help students make academic behavioral social-emotional and transition progress.
The teacher develops implements and monitors IEPs; evaluates student progress; coordinates required services; and works collaboratively with general education teachers paraprofessionals families administrators related-service providers and community partners. Services will be delivered through a flexible combination of push-in support co-teaching consultation and pull-out instruction based on each students IEP and individual needs.
