Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupport students needing academic social-emotional and/ or behavioral support in a self-contained setting Responsible for teaching in all content areas (Math English Science and Social Studies) Plan a program of study that as much as possible meets the individual needs interests and abilities of a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and establishes clear objectives for all lessons units projects and the like to communicate these objectives to instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting stated the accomplishments of the students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as the learning disabilities of students on a regular basis seeking the assistance of district specialists as with colleagues students and/or parents on a regular the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct and for the classroom develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure and maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and parents concerning both the broad academic and behavioral progress of all assigned to maintain and improve professional staff meetings and serve on staff committees as required.Qualifications: RIDE Certification in Special Education 7-12Must hold a Right to Reading Proficiency certificationMLL certification is a plus
