Job Summary
The Personnel Commission announces an OPEN and PROMOTIONAL recruitment. This recruitment will result in the establishment of one integrated eligibility list. Promotional candidates will have seniority points added to final passing scores (.25 of a point for every year of classified service up to a maximum of 5 points). This list will be used to fill current and future vacancies and will be active for one year or until canceled. (The names of eligible candidates on the current list will be merged to the new list in accordance with final scores.) There are currently MULTIPLE position open at various school sites. These will be 30 hours/week 10-month positions. Under the supervision of a site administrator and daily direction of a credentialed teacher(s) provide instructional support and assistance to students receiving special education services; and perform instructional support activities related to behavior management and other related activities to support students receiving special education services. Positions in this classification may be assigned to perform duties in a classroom environment or in support of a single student for any portion of the workday as documented in the students Individual Education Plan (IEP).
Training and ExperienceAny combination of education training and experience equivalent to. graduation from high school or equivalent and extensive and demonstrated (paid or volunteer) experience working with and CertificationsCrisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certifications provided by American Heart Association American Red Cross or District approvedprovider for First Aid Adult/Child CPR and positions in this classification may require possession of a current valid California drivers ofPrinciples and practices related to students receiving special education issues and concerns of students receiving special education subjects taught in District practices in classroom and other instructional methods and English usage grammar spelling punctuation and and written communication skills using tact patience and record-keeping procedures and appropriate student conduct.
Ability toProvide instructional support and assistance to teachers and students receiving special education instructional support and behavior management activities for students receiving special education and support instruction to students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).Learn and utilize methods and procedures to be followed in an instructional with instruction and related activities in a classroom or assigned learning interpret apply and follow rules regulations standards and clerical duties related to classroom and follow oral and written and maintain professional cooperative and effective working relationships with effectively both orally and in and work within scope of confidentially with with diverse groups and individuals.
