Job Summary
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma (Some college classes leading to Associates Degree preferred.)
Spanish speaking preferred.
Experience teaching children.
Knowledge of child development.
Ability to adapt to changing situations.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as a team member.
Computer skills helpful.
Excellent communication skills with staff students and parents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (DUTIES):
Willing to participate in training to use in classroom.
Provide behavior and functional support to special education students.
Provide general academic support in small group instruction; responsible for instruction under Student Support Specialists supervision.
Assist in general education settings
Assist with toileting
Carry out the written objectives of a students IEP with assistance.
Carry out other duties not specifically mentioned.
