Job Summary

SPECIAL EDUCATION AIDE: Moderate/SevereThe job of Special Education Aide is done for the purpose/s of assisting in the supervision and instruction of Special Education students under the supervision of a certificated teacher in a special education or regular classroom; observing and documenting student progress; implementing plans for instruction; and providing clerical support to teacher. Incumbents in this classification provide direct academic support to students and teachers which directly supports job reports to the Principal or Designee.
Experience: Job related experience is :High school diploma or Testing: As required for position Certificates & Licenses: 48 college credits completed or an AA degree or be able to demonstrate college level skills by passing the Paraeducator Proficiency : -Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance-TB Clearance-Making Right Choices (MRC)-AB 1432 (Mandated Reporter Training)-AB 2246 (Pupil Suicide Prevention)
