The Baldwin Park Unified School District is recruiting for an Instructional Aide - Special Education. Under the direction of a Special Education Teacher or other certificated employee the employee will assist in implementing the instructional programs for students special needs. Additionally the employee will assist in meeting special needs which may include feeding toileting positioning and monitoring the health conditions of a medically involved student. The employee will relieve the teacher of routine clerical duties and perform other duties as a full description of the duties assigned please review the job Park Unified School District offers an exceptional benefits package (medical dental vision and membership in the CalPERS retirement system).
The selection process tentatively consists of the District application review pass the Districts instructional proficiency exam and interviews. The Human Resources Department will contact all applicants once the selection process has been :Tuesday & Thursday: 8:30 am - 2:30 pmIMPORTANT DATES: Emails will be sent to all applicants and only qualified applicants will be given the exam and interview information. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation:(a) A high school diploma or equivalent is required (b) Pass the BPUSD district instructional aide examination (c) Or completion of at least two years of study at an institution of higher education or an associates degree or higher in lieu of taking the BPUSD exam (must provide proof)Preference:Special Education LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATESValid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency. The following must be submitted with your online application for interview consideration:
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (2 Letters recent within 2 years must be dated & signed)
- Proof of HS Graduation (High School Diploma Transcripts or GED )
