The Baldwin Park Unified School District is recruiting for Behavioral Assistants - Special Education. Under the direction of a Special Education Teacher or other certificated employee. The employee will assist in implementing the instructional and behavioral programs for students special needs. The employee will also assist with the management of both individual students and groups of students on the school campus in the classroom or on the school a full description of the duties assigned please review the job Park Unified School District offers an exceptional benefits package (medical dental vision and membership in the CalPERS retirement system).
The selection process tentatively consists of the District application review pass the District instructional proficiency exam and interviews. The Human Resources Department will contact all applicants once the selection process has been : Tuesday & Thursday: 8:30 am - 2:30 pmIMPORTANT DATES: Emails will be sent to all applicants and only qualified applicants will be given the exam and interview REQUIREMENTSEducation:(a) A high school diploma or equivalent is required(b) Pass the BPUSD district instructional aide examination(c) Or completion of at least two years of study at an institution of higher education or an associates degree or higher in lieu of taking the BPUSD exam (must provide proof)Experience:Experience working with children with students with LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATESPossess current First Aid and CPR certification issued by an authorized agency. Employees must attend training(s) provided by the District upon following must be submitted with your online application for interview consideration:
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (2 Letters recent within 2 years must be dated & signed)
