Position: Food Service Assistant Manager

Hours: 5.75 hours per day

Calendar: 183 days per year (August-June)

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade and additional courses in home economics preferred.
2. Three years of experience in the preparation and serving of food in a school lunchroom or cafeteria.
3. Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Card upon date of hire.
4. Knowledge of methods of preparing cooking and serving foods; procedures involved in managing a large school lunchroom; federal and state forms; proper nutrition.
5. Ability to prepare food planned; operate equipment; keep complex records; understand and carry out oral and written directions; maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees and students.
6. Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• $17.16-$24.79 per hour dependent on approved accepted experience/education.
• Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon Association of Classified Employees)
• Annual step pay increase awarded to eligible employees
• 6 paid holidays per year
• 2 personal days per year
• 10 paid sick leave days per year
• Bereavement leave as per bargaining agreement
• Continuing Education Funds up to $1200 per year
  
• Up to $1624 per month district-paid contribution toward full-family medical dental and vision insurance.
• $4534 per year insurance opt-out stipend for employees who demonstrate other health insurance coverage under a qualifying employer sponsored group medical plan (more than 6-hour employees) $4080.60 (46-hour employees)
• 6% employee paid contribution towards Oregon Public Employees Retirement System
• Longevity Service Stipend after 10 years of employment ($1000-$1600).
