What Youll Do

• Lead agency strategic sourcing purchasing and contracting activities.
• Manage solicitations bids proposals evaluations contract awards and related procurement processes.
• Partner with internal customers to understand business needs and develop appropriate sourcing solutions.
• Supervise coach develop and evaluate assigned staff.
• Assist with the development and implementation of agency purchasing and contracting procedures.
• Build productive relationships with vendors state agencies and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends supply sources and opportunities to improve procurement practices.

As our Sourcing Supervisor you will lead strategic sourcing and contracting activities while supervising a team of financial sourcing and budget professionals. You will work closely with agency leaders program areas vendors and other state partners to ensure goods and services are procured effectively competitively and in accordance with applicable requirements.

Minimum qualifications for this classification include one of the following:

• Have at least 4 ½ years experience in purchasing/procurement/sourcing to include performing spend analysis developing sourcing strategy & evaluating vendor performance.

• Completion of undergraduate core in public or business administration purchasing materials management contracting acquisition management or logistics supply chain management operations management or other sourcing related field with at least 2 ½ years experience in purchasing/procurement/sourcing.

• Completion of graduate core in public or business administration purchasing materials management contracting acquisition management or logistics supply chain management operations management or other sourcing related field with at least 1 ½ years experience in purchasing/procurement/sourcing.

• Have at least 2 years experience as Senior Sourcing Analyst with the State of Ohio.

• Have at least 1 year experience as Sourcing Planner with the State of Ohio.

• The equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Pursuant to Homeland Security Presidential Directive - 12 (HSPD 12) the final candidate selected for this position will be required to successfully complete a National Agency Check Investigation (NACI) to secure employment.

Salary Information:

This position is assigned as a pay range 14 of the State of Ohios pay schedule with a starting hourly rate of $40.40 and current range up to $57.67 per hour. Starting pay is usually at the minimum of the range unless otherwise required by law or union contract or unless the selected candidates qualifications warrant consideration above the minimum.

With continued employment and satisfactory performance employees generally advance to the next pay step after six (6) months and then annually thereafter. Cost-of-living adjustments are typically applied on July 1.
