Trident Consulting is seeking a Sourcing Specialist - Buying/Procurement for one of our clients in Remote A global leader in business and technology services.

Location: Houston TX
Duration: 12 Months
Pay: $35 40/hr on W2 (Inclusive all)

Pay: $35 40/hr on W2 (Inclusive all)
Description:
- Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) in Oracle
- Review and validate requisitions (PORs) before PO creation
- Confirm supplier setup and availability in Oracle
- Navigate multiple Oracle screens to:
- Check PO history
- Review inventory and supply/demand data (view-only)
- Support planners with accurate status updates
- Support production meetings by preparing PO and part status outside of Oracle (typically in Excel)
- Manage Blanket Purchase Orders (BPOs):
- Regular interaction with 5 suppliers (out of 9 total)
- Handle releases expediting and payment follow-up
- Support farm-out and repair activities interacting with 20 suppliers over short cycles
- Communicate with suppliers via email and calls (Teams) to:
- Request quotes (RFQs)
- Expedite materials
- Clarify requirements
- Maintain documentation for auditability and PO attachments
- Essential Requirements of the Role
- Oracle OSCAR and/or Oracle PASCAL
- Hands on Buyer side use (not just exposure)
- Comfort navigating multiple modules/screens
- SAP or similar modern ERP only if the candidate can clearly articulate Buyer workflows and navigation logic
- Legacy systems
- Light ERP exposure

- Detail Oriented
- Strong System Navigation ability
- Oracle Oscar and Oracle Pascal are MUST haves
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills

- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Sourcing)
