Description:

Experience required to support software development and full life cycle testing of mission systems including the design development and maintenance of test plans/cases/processes the creation and maintenance of test environments and automated test capabilities the performance of Integration & Testing and Acceptance Testing and the reporting and tracking of problems through their resolution. Knowledge of test automation using Python performance/load/stress testing data interfacetesting user interface testing security testing code coverage tools and systems integrationtesting. Experience related to the installation configuration management and enhancement of software applications LINUX systems and connected network components.
Required Qualifications:
The Software Test Engineer has responsibility for supporting full life cycle testing effortsof comparable size and scope to the efforts detailed in this SOW. Worksindividually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports.
  • Designs develops and implements test plans test cases and test processes
  • Designs develops and maintains suites of automated tests
  • Performs Integration & Testing activitiesand Acceptance Testing activities
  • Builds test environments
  • Creates and maintain test environment for automated software testing
  • Experience with at least four (4) of the following knowledge areas:
    • Test automation development(or demonstrated development experience) Performance/load/stress testing; Data interfacetesting User interface testing Security testing Code coverage tools Systems integrationtesting
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software troubleshoot maintain integrity of and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performanceAnalyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements

Educations Training and Certifications:
  • Six (6) years of experience as a STE in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity is required.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
    • A Masters degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
    • Four (4) years of additional Test Engineer experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a degree.
Due to federal contract requirements United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with customer appropriate polygraph).

Annual Compensation Figures listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to: Government contract rates; education; relevant prior work experience knowledge skills and competencies; certifications and geographic location.
