Software Engineer

The Software Engineer is responsible for assisting in designing coding testing and maintaining software applications under the guidance of senior engineers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements contribute to technical solutions and continuously learn and grow your engineering skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES other duties may be assigned.

• Participate in Scrum ceremonies (team standup retrospective etc.)
• Provide production support tirage and solve production issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and deliver solutions.
• Develop business features by designing developing and testing software solutions.
• Assess current SDP modules by conducting systems analysis and recommending optimizations to make the application more performant/respond to customer needs.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and development practices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Three or more years of Software Engineering experience with a focus on APIs and system integration.
• More than 2 years of experience in agile methodologies.
• Excellent technical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of portal software design and development.
• Strong technical documentation skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• More than 2 years of experience in supporting and triaging customer-facing platforms.
• More than 2 years of experience in monitoring tools New Relics data dog.
• More than 2 years of experience in linux/unix SQL Java Spring Python and AWS.
• Experience with Palantir.

SKILLS (FROM SKILLS LIBRARY)

• Java Angular Javascript Shellscript Sprint Boot SQL REST OAuth JDBC Oracle NoSQL DB.
• Networking.
