Role Overview

An advanced manufacturing and robotics company in Chatsworth CA is seeking a Software Engineer in Test to lead quality assurance system validation and release readiness across a modern automation software platform.

This role supports highly integrated robotics and industrial automation systems operating in production environments where reliability performance and scalability are critical. Key Responsibilities

• Lead software testing and validation efforts across the platform
• Develop and maintain automated test suites for CI/CD workflows
• Create testing strategies including functional regression integration and system-level testing
• Evaluate release readiness and software deployment quality
• Design and improve testing frameworks for scalability and coverage
• Support cloud-based deployment activities and production validation
• Investigate software defects and coordinate resolutions with engineering teams
• Validate new features system performance and platform reliability
• Collaborate with software engineers and cross-functional technical teams
• Incorporate user feedback into testing priorities and release improvements
• Continuously improve QA processes testing workflows and release procedures

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
  OR equivalent practical experience
• Experience testing software applications
• Experience writing test scripts or automation code
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in cloud-based environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated release workflows
• Experience supporting production deployments
• Exposure to systems integrating software with robotics hardware or industrial controls
