Job Description
The Software Engineer II is an early- to mid-career contributor that has a combination of formal education and experience in the software engineering field. They are responsible for the research design development analysis testing and implementation of software operating or application systems. They communicate project information to client project manager or other design personnel working on projects. They maintain good working relationships with clients and staff. They write and maintain complete documentation. They support team members and ensure established goals and deadlines are met. - Design develop test and deploy modern web applications and services using Java and related technologies.
- Build scalable resilient and secure solutions that support thousands of users in a cloud-based environment.
- Partner with engineers product owners and operations teams to deliver features from concept through production.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and high-quality code.
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance reliability maintainability and developer efficiency.
- Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to rapid problem resolution and service restoration.
- Participate in architecture discussions and help shape technical solutions that balance business needs quality and delivery timelines.
- Develop automated tests and implement quality practices that ensure confidence in releases.
- Contribute to code reviews technical documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the engineering team.
- Continuously explore new technologies frameworks and development practices that improve our products and engineering culture.

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Software Engineering or a related field.
- Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 3 years of experience developing web-based applications and services.
- Experience building applications with Python and modern web technologies.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases and data-driven applications.
- Experience collaborating within Agile development teams.
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals including system design testing performance security and code quality.
Experience with some of the following technologies is highly valued:
- Angular
- AWS or other cloud platforms
- Cloud-native application development and modernization initiatives
- Git Jira IntelliJ VS Code
- SQL and database technologies
- Application integration and API development
- Legacy system modernization and migration projects
- Identity and access management technologies
- Technical certifications in cloud software development or related disciplines

Position & Application Details
