Job Summary
Andurils Geospatial Platform (Terra) team owns geospatial cloud infrastructure geospatial edge software as well as geospatial data. The teams north star is to provide highly available and resilient cloud services high-performance edge software and the latest geospatial data to support all Anduril warfighter missions.
We are looking for Software Engineers to join our this role you will work on cloud infrastructure edge software and data related projects. You will design and implement capabilities that are part of Lattice in the cloud and at the edge. This will require you to work across many business lines inside of Anduril to understand their needs and to synthesize solutions that can be used by the entire company. If youre hands-on think long-term and are dedicated to delivering indispensable software platforms this role is for you.
- Build data ingestion pipelines that process large geospatial datasets
- Create a platform that lets users access geospatial data
- Build edge software that enables high performance offline access to geospatial data
- Collaborate with other Lattice service teams and Anduril business lines to design and build solutions that meet the needs of all business lines
- 3-7 years working with a variety of programming languages such as Go C Java Python JavaScript/TypeScript Rust etc.
- Experience with industry standard cloud platforms (AWS Azure) Kubernetes CI/CD and GitOps tools and software infrastructure fundamentals (networking security distributed systems)
- Have experience working with customers to deliver novel software capabilities
- Love building platform and infrastructure tooling that enables other software engineers to scale their output
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
- Youve built or invented something: an app a website game startup
- Previous experience working in an engineering setting: a startup (or startup-like environment) engineering school etc. If youve succeeded in a low structure high autonomy environment youll succeed here!
- Professional software development lifecycle experience using tools such as version control CICD systems etc.
- A deep demonstrated understanding of how computers and networks work from a single desktop to a multi-cluster cloud node
- Experience building scalable backend software systems with various data storage and processing requirements
- Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases
- Experience implementing robot or autonomous vehicle testing frameworks in a software-in-the-loop or hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) environment
- Experience with modern build and deployment tooling (e.g. Crossplane Terraform)
- Experience designing complex software systems and iterating upon designs via a technical design review process
- Familiarity with industry standard monitoring logging and data management tools and best practices
- A bias towards rapid delivery and iteration
US Salary Range
$166000 - $220000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience education and/or training critical skills and/or business considerations.
