Job Summary

Overview

Client is seeking a Software Integration Tech Lead to guide software integration troubleshooting and debugging across mission-critical aircraft and advanced mission systems programs. This role will set technical direction lead integration engineers and improve the automation infrastructure development environments and build processes supporting multiple programs.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of integration engineers through technical guidance code reviews and engineering standards.
  • Set architectural direction and guide system and software design decisions.
  • Develop integrate troubleshoot and debug software across aircraft flight software simulated mission systems and laboratory environments.
  • Support laboratory environments combining constructive simulations physical hardware and system-level models.
  • Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines to provide reliable repeatable software builds.
  • Architect and enhance virtual development laboratories and aircraft software processes.
  • Design and implement reusable automation tools using open-source commercial and internally developed solutions.
  • Perform hardware troubleshooting software debugging performance profiling integration testing and system-level testing.
  • Coordinate technical activities across mission systems simulation software hardware and stakeholder teams.
  • Establish software integration standards supporting mission-critical performance and safety requirements.

Essential Qualifications Skills and Technologies

  • Bachelors degree or higher in a STEM discipline from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience equating to at least 14 years of professional development experience.
  • 6 years of C programming experience.
  • 4 years of Python programming experience.
  • 6 years of Linux experience.
  • 3 years of hardware troubleshooting and/or hardware integration experience.
  • 6 years of software debugging experience.
  • 3 years of experience leading a team of engineers.
  • Experience making architectural decisions and establishing technical or integration standards.
  • Experience supporting software integration in complex hardware and software environments.

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • Experience with software integration debugging and system-level testing.
  • Experience with Jenkins GitLab Azure DevOps or comparable CI/CD technologies.
  • Experience with Bash PowerShell or other scripting and automation technologies.
  • Knowledge of aircraft or mission system software development lifecycles.
  • Experience with simulated environments or hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Aerospace defense avionics flight software or mission systems experience.

Work Details

  • Onsite role.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Government security clearance is required.
  • Position is located at a facility requiring special access.
