About the Role

As CoStars next Software Engineer you will have a direct impact on highly visible CoStar Suite web applications that touch millions of users. You continuouslylearnemerging technologies and architecture advancements and apply the learnings to improve CoStars software products.

This positionis located inArlington VAandisonsite Monday Thursdayoptionto work from home on Friday.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high performance web applications used by thousands of users globally

• Drive continuous improvement by focusing on engineering excellence

• Influence CI/CD pipeline improvements

• Collaborate closely with other Software Engineers across the organization.

• Mentor junior developers review code and architecture and promote software development best practices

• Continually evaluate emerging technologies toidentifyopportunities trends and best practices that can be used to strengthen CoStars technology platform and development practices

• Develop andmaintainan in-depth working knowledge of the CRE Industry and CoStarsbusiness model / technology

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors Degreefrom an accredited not for profit in-personuniversity or college.

• A track recordof commitment to prior employers

• 3 years of production developmentexperience inmoderntechnologies like React Vue TypeScriptNodeJS C#.Net OpenSearch Kafka SQL NoSQL

• A demonstrabletrack recordof building and launching successful products and platforms

• Experience with cloud technologies like AWS Cloud Managed Services etc.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum processes and Continuous delivery practices

• Experienced in unit performance and automation testing

• Deeply understand what drives the business for which you are building software

• Take an active role in mentoring developers with ability to build consensus

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Experience managing a large Enterprise level code base codequalityand dependencies

• Experience withReact and/or Nodejsin particular

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Commercial Real Estate(CRE)knowledge is a bonus
