Description
Duties:
Work in an agile environment to develop creative solutions for our claims product.
Accelerate speed to market by addressing current product needs and developing long-term strategic solutions using technologies such as React TypeScript JavaScript and other potential backend languages.
Utilize cloud services and tools including AWS Cloud Foundry and CDNs like Akamai.
Demonstrate proficiency in multiple object-oriented and functional programming languages. Build and implement RESTful services. Employ an open-minded and collaborative approach to create innovative technical solutions. Analyze technical system problems to design and implement effective flexible solutions. Handle end-to-end development including coding testing and debugging in each development cycle.
Develop automated tests across multiple scopes including unit system integration and regression testing. Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement.
Domestic travel required up to 10%.
Telecommuting permitted up to 60%
Qualifications
Requirements:
Employer will accept a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science Computer Information Systems Information Systems or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation.
Position requires demonstrable experience with the following:
user interfaces using React.
server-side applications using Node.
scalable and maintainable code using TypeScript.
enterprise level applications object-oriented including Java.
microservices and backend systems using Spring Boot.
of diverse and emerging technologies architectural concepts and principles while utilizing AWS services including Lambdas EC2 and S3.
in the insurance industry domain including property claim.
backlog tracking burndown metrics and incremental deliver utilizing the latest version of Scrum guide including Jira.
Experience may be gained during graduate program. Will accept any suitable combination of education training and/or experience. Multiple Positions Available.
