Job Description:
We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer (.NET / Blazor) for the Texas Department of Agriculture. This role involves designing developing and supporting enterprise-level web-based applications in a fast-paced Agile environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in C# .NET Core Blazor SQL/Oracle and full SDLC lifecycle along with the ability to work closely with business and technical teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop test and maintain web-based applications using C# .NET Core and Blazor
- Develop front-end and back-end components using HTML5 CSS JavaScript and SQL
- Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures (SQL Server/Oracle)
- Perform root cause analysis debugging and production support
- Lead and participate in SDLC activities including design development testing and deployment
- Collaborate with business analysts architects and stakeholders to gather requirements
- Support application releases enhancements and maintenance activities
- Ensure application security and compliance with standards
- Use Azure DevOps/Jira for tracking and Agile delivery
Required Skills:
- 8 years of experience in software development
- Strong experience in C# .NET Core / .NET
- 2 years of hands-on experience with Blazor
- Experience with SQL Server and Oracle (Stored Procedures)
- Strong knowledge of HTML5 CSS JavaScript
- Experience with full SDLC lifecycle
- Experience in Agile methodology
- Experience with Azure DevOps Jira or similar tools
- Strong debugging troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with state or government applications
- Experience with licensing or regulatory systems
- Knowledge of WCAG / accessibility standards
- Experience migrating legacy systems to .NET Core / Blazor
