Key job responsibilities
- Design and implement software solutions that enable new features and improve existing systems balancing scalability maintainability and performance requirements.
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle including product definition scoping design coding testing deployment and operational support.
- Write well-organized maintainable code using optimal data structures and algorithms and actively participate in code reviews to help raise the quality bar across the team.
- Collaborate with customers stakeholders and cross-functional peers to understand business needs and deliver the right solutions while mentoring other engineers on your team.
- Evaluate opportunities to integrate generative AI tools and new technical approaches into your work making recommendations to improve team productivity and software quality.

A day in the life
Youll start your day reviewing operational metrics and addressing any issues from overnight then shift into focused development work on features that directly improve the customer experience. Expect to pair with teammates on design discussions participate in code reviews and occasionally lead deep dives into production issues to identify root causes and permanent fixes. Youll regularly connect with product partners to refine requirements and ensure your solutions align with both customer and technical needs.

AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue adoption and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. - 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1 years of designing and developing large-scale multi-tiered multi-threaded embedded or distributed software applications tools systems and services using: C# C Java or Perl experience
- 1 years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field

- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
