Software Development Engineer, APM Insights

Were looking for a SDE to build the user-facing experiences for APMs AI-powered insights platform. You will partner directly with the SDE and DE teams to design and implement the interfaces through which 600 APM team members interact with our agentic products. This includes conversational AI interfaces analytics dashboards monitoring narratives and self-service configuration tools.

You should be passionate about crafting intuitive performant front end experiences that make complex AI outputs accessible and trustworthy. You will build interfaces that visualize supply funnels across publishers render AI-generated narratives with confidence indicators display real-time metric anomalies and enable users to interact with autonomous agents. You will work in a fast-paced 0-to-1 environment where you own front end architecture decisions and directly influence how customers experience our products.


Key job responsibilities
- Design and build production front end experiences for APMs suite of AI-powered insights products including conversational agents metric dashboards and monitoring interfaces
- Own front end architecture decisions: component design state management rendering performance and accessibility compliance
- Build rich data visualization components for applications like supply funnel analytics and cross-publisher comparison views
- Implement conversational UI patterns for AI agent interactions confidence indicators source attribution and feedback mechanisms
- Partner on API contract design ensuring efficient data fetching patterns and responsive user experiences
- Instrument front end telemetry (usage patterns interaction flows error rates) to track adoption metrics
- Ensure experiences meet Amazons accessibility standards with necessary scaling

The APM Agentic Insights team builds scalable intelligence that delivers fast accurate and actionable insights across Amazon Publisher Monetization (APM). We serve business product tech and science teams replacing manual intake-driven analytics with self-service AI-powered experiences. Our solutions range from off-the-shelf queries and dynamic dashboards to conversational analytics agents and MCPs that let stakeholders get answers agentically. Our vision is to be the trusted insights partner for every APM business driving measurable business impact.

- 3 years of designing and developing large-scale multi-tiered multi-threaded embedded or distributed software applications tools systems and services using: C# C Java or Perl experience
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field
- 3 years of professional front end development experience
- Experience visualizing data in Tableau or other relevant data visualization software
- Understanding of web performance fundamentals: bundle optimization lazy loading rendering pipelines and network efficiency
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL for client-server communication

- Experience building conversational or chat-based UIs (streaming text markdown rendering interactive elements)
- Experience building internal tools or enterprise applications (admin panels dashboards configuration UIs)
- Familiarity with AI/ML application front ends: prompt playgrounds evaluation UIs or agent interaction patterns
- Background in advertising technology or self-serve analytics platforms

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
