Position Responsibilities:

Design and develop innovative software solutions to further enhance the performance availability and durability of Amazon Aurora. Collaborate with a team of engineers to push the boundaries of the PostgreSQL engine and storage integration. Write high-quality efficient and maintainable code adhering to best practices. Contribute to the design and implementation of new features and functionalities within Amazon Aurora. Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues related to Auroras functionality. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in database technologies and PostgreSQL developments. Solve challenging technical problems often ones not solved before at every layer of the stack. Design implement test deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance durability cost and security. Build high-quality highly available always-on products. Research implementations that deliver the best possible experiences for customers.

Position Requirements:

Masters degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer Software Developer or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Masters degree and one year of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1) designing and developing large-scale multi-tiered distributed software applications tools systems or services using: (i.) Object Oriented Design (ii.) distributed programming and (iii.) C# C or Python.
