Job Summary
Responsibilities
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Software Application Support Systems Engineer to join our this role you will provide Operational Support and be responsible for ensuring the stability and optimal performance of our software applications.
You will act as a point of contact for technical issues troubleshooting software errors providing user support and collaborating with our engineering team to implement fixes.
This will require the ability to start stop and diagnose services running in Linux. Some software includes Apache NiFi Datarunner MongoDB ElasticSearch AWS EC2 instances CHAP. You will provide after-hour on-call support as needed.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph required
- Ten (10) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity is required. Bachelors degree in System Engineering Computer Science Information Systems Engineering Science Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
Highly Desired Qualifications
Experience maintaining configuring and supporting complex software applications
Experience with Linux command line and Systems Administration support
Ability to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of common issues technical documents and user guides
Experience with technologies such as; Docker MongoDB Mongo Compass ElasticSearch AWS and ContainerYard
Ability to proactively monitor application performance system health checks and database status to ensure maximum uptime
Ability to troubleshoot and analyze software issues evaluate error logs identify root causes
Experience working with Atlassian tools Jira Confluence
Familiarity with web application architectures web servers (e.g. Apache Tomcat IIS) and APIs.
Familiarity with Apache NiFi Dataflow and Mission data formats
Excellent communication skills with the ability to perform independently
Strong sense of ownership to drive issues to resolution while maintaining high customer satisfaction
