Social Worker (Licensed)

PURPOSE:The Jewish Boards Community Behavioral Health treatment programs provide compassionate high quality evidence-based services to individuals and families in the communities we serve. Our staff use a culturally affirming person-centered approach to help individuals and their families develop skills and resources to improve overall functioning to instill hope and to strengthen resiliency. Our programs work closely with community partners to address health disparities in our neighborhoods while also celebrating the strengths and resilience of our OVERVIEW: This position provides clinical services as part of an Article 31 OMH certified outpatient MHOTRS clinic. The clinics are in diverse communities and provide services to individuals of all ages and their families and support systems. Clinical services are provided using a trauma-informed evidence-based racially & culturally affirming approach. Interventions include but are not limited to evaluations; individual group and/or family therapy; care coordination; and crisis interventions. KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Conduct comprehensive evaluations and psychosocial assessmentsDevelop treatment plans in collaboration with clients and family members (as appropriate) to identify treatment needs and interventions and review/revise treatment plans to reflect clients treatment progress and changing problems/ individual group family collateral treatment and crisis services/interventionsBe actively self-reflective & self-aware of how clinical and administrative practice impacts clients families and the communities we serveApproach work with an anti-racist lens and open to continuously learning and evolving Liaise with families schools criminal justice and other community agencies to coordinate careParticipate in clinical meetings staff meetings required training and and willing to receive constructive feedbackMaintain documentation according to the standards and time frames established by the Jewish Board regulatory agencies and/or funding sourcesMaintain professional behaviors and ethical standards as established by licensing board relevant professional association and the Jewish Board policies and have a strong knowledge of OMH Telehealth guidelines and adherence to the requirements of telehealth duties as FUNCTIONS MAY INCLUDE:Attending case conferences as neededMaintaining a steady and active caseloadMeeting the minimum expectations for kept visitsEDUCATIONAL / TRAINING REQUIRED:Masters degree in counseling creative arts or social work from an accredited program AND a New York State License or limited permit in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC); Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or social work (LMSW) required. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED / LANGUAGE PREFERENCE:Experience treating children or adolescents is preferred. Fluency in a second language is SKILLS REQUIRED:Experience with documenting in electronic health records and using Microsoft Office softwareExperience with tele mental health platforms a mustVISUAL AND MANUAL DEXIERITY:The candidate should be able to read paper and electronic documents and perform significant data entry into various computer programsWORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL EFFORTRemote work setting. Position entails a schedule of three weekday evening 1pm-9pm or two weekday evening hours and one weekend (Saturday or Sunday 9-5pm)
