Salary Rate: $73000 - $80000

Duties and Responsibilities

• The Social Development Director directly supervises the Residential Living Counseling CPP and Recreation/Fitness/Health Programs. Responsible for the management of social development functions in compliance with government and management directives.
• The Social Development Director plans coordinates and manages the administrative and programmatic activities of the department including coordination of the CSS program.
• Provide staff training evaluate staff performance and implement staff changes as approved by the Center Director.
• Oversee the scheduling and operation of Center sponsored recreation activities and programs.
• Oversee the staff schedule 24 hours a day 7 days a week for dorm and recreation coverage.
• Provide support and guidance to staff in dealing with behavior of students and resolving individual or group situations.
• Develop and distribute weekly monthly and annual recreation/vocation plans and scheduled activities.
• Coordinates the Career Success Standards /Conflict Resolution Programs and provides input on career development skills of students.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in counseling or work-related field preferred.
• Three years of broad-based professional Job Corps or similar training program experience preferred.
• One year of supervisory experience required.
• Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
