EarthBalance is a company of employees who have a passion for restoring the natural environment. We use a large variety of small engine tools and equipment that need constant maintenance and repair.

Duties:
At EarthBalance our small engine techs diagnose repair and overhaul small engines used to power pole saws chainsaws recreational vehicles and other related equipment.


  • Ability to work extended hours.

  • Minimum 6 months of experience and/or training in small engine repair; or a combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with general maintenance of off-road vehicles like UTVs and ATVs.

  • Experience in automotive and diesel service is a plus.

  • Must have a valid drivers license a minimum of 3 years of driving experience and a clean driving record.

  • Acetylene and electric arc welding experience is a plus.

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.

  • This position is performed in outside weather conditions where the employee is exposed to fumes or airborne particles moving mechanical parts and vibration.

  • The employee will be frequently exposed to a variety of extreme weather and environmental conditions at project sites.

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to:

    • Quickly move hands hands together with arms or two hands to grasp manipulate or assemble objects.

    • Keep hands steady while moving the arms or while holding arms and hands in one position.
    • Quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls or a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
    • See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
    • Coordinate two or more limbs (for example two arms two legs or one leg and one arm) while sitting standing or lying down.
    • The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift or move up to 75 pounds.
