BASIC FUNCTION:Under the direction of the Director Maintenance Operations and Facilities performs a variety of skilled maintenance work requiring the knowledge of one or more skilled trades including construction painting electrical masonry plumbing and carpentry; resolves facility operational and safety concerns according to established procedures; maintains facilities for students staff and public in safe and operating condition; provides guidance to District construction workers and other Skilled Maintenance Workers as assigned; maintains preventive maintenance programs.
Dual-Merged (2627-18) An examination will be given to establish an eligibility list for the position of Skilled Maintenance Worker II in order to fill existing and future vacancies. These positions are full-time 8 hours per day 260 paid days per year. The eligibility list will be valid for 6 months or until exhausted (whichever comes first). APPLICATION PROCEDURE:Completed online applications must be received by 4:30 p.m. on the closing date. Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of a completed application or supplemental questions; however applicants may submit resumes along with the completed online application deadline may be extended; dependent on volume of qualified applications received.A resume will not be accepted in lieu of a completed application.
