Job Summary
Peraton requires Systems Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 EOM.This position islocatedat Fort Bragg NC.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM its Component Commands its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs) and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration change license and asset management; conduct training and perform Install Move Add Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM the CIO/J6 organization andultimately theend-user whooperatearound the globe 24x7x365.
Systems Administrators provide various project management technical and administrative support for assets employed at approved global locations and support the development of policies and procedures. They mustpossessstrong problem-solving analytical and communication skills in addition to in-depth technical knowledge of the Governments systems hardware and software.
Systems Administrator
- Performs tier one and two network and systems support in accordance with the SIE OPORD.
- Provides support to systems hosting complex operational databases software configuration control and system interfaces for computer systems.
- Maintains file servers network access documents analyzes and troubleshoots systems anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance.
- Monitors and controls one or more mid-range application servers.
- Studies program operating instructions to determine equipment setup and operations.
- Monitors the operation of assigned applications and storage devices and determines the point of hardware or software failure.
- Troubleshoots and configures systems in accordance with standard procedures to continue operations when individual units of a system malfunction.
- Coordinates with software systems engineering or applications developers as necessary to correct errors.
- Maintains operating records such as machine performance and production reports.
- Installs operating system software patches and upgrades.
- Analyzes troubleshoots and resolves system hardware software and networking issues.
- Configures optimizes fine-tunes and monitoring operating system software and hardware.
- Performs system backups and recovery.
- Conducts server builds.
- Completes troubleshooting issues related to infrastructure including VDI components.
- Develops and maintains SOPs for the infrastructure including VDI Environment
Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma with 12 years of relevant experience
- Associates degree with 10 years of relevant experience
- Bachelors degree with 8 years of relevant experience
- Masters degree with 6 years of relevant experience
- Security Clearance:
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
- Certifications (Required):
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security CE CCNA Security CySA GICSP GSEC SSCP)
- At least 2 years of previous experience working as a System Administrator.
- Have a demonstrated ability to communicate exceptionally well both orally and in writing as well as have a positive customer service attitude
- Strong proactive team player.
- Desired Qualifications:
- Must be DoW 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 451 - System Administrator- Intermediate level or higher by 1 Oct 26.
