Short-Term Live-Out Nanny (Immediate Start) in Redding, Connecticut

Position: Short-Term Live-Out Nanny
Location: Redding Connecticut
Schedule: Generally 11:30 AM5:30 PM plus approximately one evening per week. Saturday availablity is a plus too. Flexibility for additional hours and days is available.
Salary: $40$45 per hour depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP
Commitment: Short-term position - at least two months

A warm loving and family-oriented family in Redding Connecticut is seeking an experienced nurturing and engaging nanny to care for their wonderful 12-month-old daughter. The family lives in the beautiful Connecticut countryside and is looking for someone who genuinely loves working with babies and toddlers and will provide attentive hands-on care in a warm and supportive environment.

The family also has three much-loved rescue dogs who are an important part of the household.

The ideal candidate is naturally playful attentive and loving with a genuine passion for early childhood development. The family is looking for someone who will be fully engaged with their daughter throughout the day encouraging her curiosity development and milestones through age-appropriate activities outdoor exploration reading music and play.

This is first and foremost a childcare position with some light household assistance during nap times and quieter moments. The family values someone proactive reliable and happy to lend an extra hand when needed.

Childcare & Development

• Provide loving attentive and developmentally appropriate care for a 12-month-old.

• Engage the child in interactive play reading singing and age-appropriate activities.

• Encourage developmental milestones curiosity and learning through play.

• Take the child on walks and spend time outdoors when weather permits.

• Prepare and serve the childs meals and snacks.

• Maintain a safe clean and nurturing environment.

• Follow the familys routines and provide updates regarding the childs day.

Light Household Support

• Keep the childs belongings toys and play areas organized.

• Handle the childs laundry and assist with general organization.

• Tidy the kitchen and common areas related to the days activities.

• Load and unload the dishwasher as needed.

• Wash and prepare fruits and vegetables unpack groceries and assist with simple family meal preparation.

• Be a proactive extra set of hands during nap times and quieter moments.

This is not a housekeeping position. The primary focus will always be the care safety and development of the child.

• Extensive experience caring for infants and toddlers ideally with children around 12 months old.

• Warm nurturing playful and genuinely passionate about childcare.

• Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate activities is a plus.

• Proactive organized dependable and comfortable working in a family home.

• Comfortable around dogs and happy to work in a household with three rescue dogs.

• Flexible and open to occasional evening hours and additional days as needed.
