Modesto City Schools is a Pre-K through 12th grade district serving approximately 30000 students. The District is one of the largest employers in Stanislaus County with over 3200 employees. It is divided into three divisions: Business Services Educational Services and Human Resources. An Associate Superintendent oversees each division and a variety of programs such as Early Childhood Education Child Welfare & Attendance Special Education Nutrition Services and City Schools also offers an Induction Program with a state approved curriculum by which new teachers attain their Professional Clear Credential. Requirements / Qualifications

Work experience necessary to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position; Completion of an apprenticeship as an automotive mechanic or forty-eight (48) months experience as a general automotive repairperson acquired through an accredited apprenticeship program; Three (3) years of supervisory experience in the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of mechanical equipment; High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate or California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) Certificate;Class C drivers license holders are eligible to apply; however if selected the candidate must obtain a Class B license (Valid California Commercial Drivers License Class B with Air Brake and Passenger endorsement to be obtained within the first sixty (60) days of employment); Valid medical examiners certificate issued in accordance with the Motor Carrier safety regulations of the Department of Motor Vehicles; Department of Transportation Power Industrial Truck Operators Permit to be obtained within the first sixty (60) days of employment; Must provide a DMV printout within five (5) workdays of offer of employment.
