What you will be doing
Check all documentation for accuracy (packing lists conversions addresses and other related data). Separate documentation packets as needed and distribute.
Enter data to computer to generate bills of lading or air bills for shipments. Match test certifications with orders and distribute as designated.
Generate shipping reports and maintain files relating to all shipping documentation.
Communicate with designated parties internally to determine specific shipping instructions as required.
Calculate dimensions and weights as required. Check the status of shipments in transit as needed.
Respond to inquiries provide directions and other information to drivers.
Prepare any range of special or periodic reports relating to departmental activity.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with 5 S standards.
Requires the ability to perform all duties within limitation of the standard methods and procedures and in accordance with strict adherence to HSE quality and productivity requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Support packing area as needed or designate
