Shipping Supervisor duties include leading the shipping team in planning strategy and executing operations and maintenance; drive training growth and development of team members; facilitate continuous improvement in productivity and cost performance; coordinate operations with other departments; assist shift and other day supervision as well as all team members in the area. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
- 3 years Leadership experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior shipping and/or logistics experience.
- Experience in steelmaking and/or manufacturing.
- Four-year college degree and/or other education training or certifications demonstrating growth and personal development.
