Job Summary

The Shipping Supervisor will supervise the daily shipping operations of the warehouse ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods. This position will coordinate shipments oversee truck loading and unloading maintain accurate shipping records and drive P&L results.

1st Shift: 7:30AM - 4:00PM Monday - Friday

Pay Rate: $28.85 / $33.65

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in identifying work procedures preparing schedules and expediting workflow.
    • Responsible for verifying and maintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
    • Supervises a team by providing guidance and support to ensure productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
    • Issue written and oral instructions examine work for accuracy neatness and compliance with policies and procedures and study and standardize procedures to enhance worker efficiency.
    • Assists in P&L forecasting and analysis alongside labor planning and scheduling.
    • Provide training motivation and support to employees regarding company and departmental procedures development opportunities and departmental processes.
    • Verify the accurate shipment of international orders and hazardous material orders if necessary.
    • Coordination and scheduling of third-party pickups and drop-offs.
    • Communicate effectively with management and customers to ensure SLAs are met and issues are promptly resolved.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and effective shipping processes.
    • Responsible for meeting or surpassing daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with accurate reporting that consistently exceeds customer expectations.
    • Engages in employee relations initiatives promptly addressing and resolving employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment.
    • Provide first level of support for any escalated issue during work shift.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations company policies and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
    • All other duties assigned based on the business the warehouse supports.

    Required Skills & Experience:

    • 2 years of prior experience.
    • Basic understanding of business operations and strategies.
    • Competent in maintaining accurate and organized records.
    • Demonstrates effective leadership and interpersonal skills able to communicate motivate and influence others within the organization.
    • Capable of managing a busy workload organizing tasks and meeting deadlines consistently.
    • Demonstrates problem-solving abilities and effective decision-making skills.
    • Capacity to engage with customers in a professional manner when applicable
    • Basic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

    Preferred Skills & Experience:

    • Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution manufacturing technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
    • Familiarity with performance evaluation and improvement processes.
    • General knowledge of OSHA Standards.
    • Supervising temporary staff.
    • Experience working with UKG and Kronos.
    • Previous experience with using warehouse distribution equipment.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience
