Job Responsibilities:
Objective:
Responsible for activities related to Materials Department at MPT Sterling Heights including but not limited to: MAFACT pull system shipping & receiving warehouse organization reporting Inventory Control labeling Suppliers shop floor support and Delivery on Time.
Responsibilities Duties and Authority: (These duties cover only the more significant responsibilities they are not meant to be all inclusive. Other duties may be given by the supervisor in addition to or instead of those listed here.)
- Receive materials as required and update records as needed in CMS.
- Verify material quantities received and report immediately any discrepancy in Delivery on Time quantity labeling discrepancies etc.
- Create submit and track Suppliers Delivery/Logistic/Quantities issues.
- Responsible to keep containers raw material and finished goods in organized in the warehouse.
- Responsible for the accuracy of inventories of raw materials and finished goods.
- Responsible to track and report CMS Inventories in all locations at MPTSH Suppliers WIP FGs etc.
- Report material inventories daily. Track outsourcing Suppliers daily and report Delivery Performance Daily Weekly Monthly.
- Responsible to support Labeling Process and follow up with Manufacturing.
- Unload and verify customer dunnage and store in designated area.
- Verify correct counts and correct dunnage.
- Load trucks in accordance with shipping needs according Customer Requirements.
- Ensure that the correct parts are placed on the right trucks.
- Utilize bar code scanners for shipments and ensure process is followed.
- Responsible to print labels and ensure accuracy.
- Verify and sign all shipments performed including quantities verification and all requirements to deliver and send to production lines.
- Organize finished goods and work in process parts to ensure FIFO inventory system.
- Accurate packaging inventory tracking and reporting including Jatco.
- Unload and put away stock (packaging and components).
- Pre-stage customer orders.
- Follow process for reporting container damage.
- Provide MRO Material Inventory Support. Responsibility for accuracy organization and filing of all paperwork.
- Perform cycle counts as needed and report inventory differences.
- Ensure that stock is moved safely and efficiently as required to support cycle counts.
- Prepare incoming and outgoing shippers. Submit shipping information to Customer as required.
- Perform verifications and checklists as required.
- Participate in A3s and corrective actions required as needed.
- Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to including IATF16949 ISO14001 (EMS) and Employee Handbook.
- Follows MIOSHA and MPTSH safety regulations and policies including wearing required P.P.E. (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Support and participate in division and department improvement initiatives through Continuous Improvement Suggestion Program and sharing of knowledge ideas and/or best practices with co-workers.
- Responsible to maintain professional and cooperative communication with all other employees.

- Complies with the designated ISO / 14001 responsibilities related to effective environmental management in accordance with MPTs Environmental Management System (EMS).
Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Hi-lo driver in a manufacturing warehouse environment.
- Ability to follow MIOSHA safety requirements.
- Requires shipping dock and excellent forklift skills.
- MAFACT Basic Training Basic Knowledge in JATCO Specific Requirements; Ford Specific Requirements; GM Specific Requirements.
- Knowledge and compliance of safety procedures and policies required.
- Demonstrates creativity initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Team oriented work approach and ability to work with others in a team environment.
- Ability to work overtime as required. Excellent attendance and performance record.
- Demonstrates Core Values. Proficient experience of bar-coding system.
- Self-starter who is positive and professional. Ability to work in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment.
Certificates Licenses Registrations:
Hi-Lo permits are required. Must have a valid drivers license.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and shipping instructions and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to document forms as required by position. Must be able to communicate in both written and spoken English.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Skills: Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to use problem solving when presented with problems or duties that do not have immediate answers or results. Able to work with others in a team environment. Have the ability to adjust to constantly changing shipping schedules with patience.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing. AS400 CMS and basic Excel. Microsoft Office
Communication Skills: Ability to use active listening. Ability to give positive and constructive criticism effectively.
Problem Solving Skills: Ability to think process oriented and apply the MPTSH standard structured problem-solving process.

While performing the duties of this job the employee must regularly sit stand and walk bend talk and listen use a computer and operate a forklift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop kneel and crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. General good health to meet fast paced environment and sometimes high stress situations. Must be able to function in very fast pace moving environment. PPE required when on plant floor.

While performing the duties of this Job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. PPE is required when working on plant floor.
