Summary:

This sewing position also referred to as a Cap Flanger will be responsible for a variety of sewing machines to sew border bottom panel and flange material together to form the bottom covering of a one-sided mattress.

Essential Duties:

• This person will read the information on the order ticket and collect the accurate materials to be sewn.
• The operator takes the side border of the mattress and sews it to the bottom cloth panel.
• While sitting the operator uses hand movement to push the border through the sewing machine jaws as it is sewn to the panel.

Requirements

• Very good hand-eye coordination
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Sit and/or stand in place for extended periods of time
• Read and comprehend basic order information
• Work flexible hours including overtime - and Saturdays as needed
• Previous sewing experience preferred
